From wigs, costumes to boots and glasses, many are being enticed to try wearing one of her combinations.
I awoke today feeling as though I wanted to share some of my insight with the world. Now, this doesn’t happen every day, I can assure you of that. Many days of the week I wake up feeling like I just want to get on with my job and not speak to anyone. But today is different: I have had a fairly interesting couple of weeks designing some graphics for a corporate company (for some leaflets about NHS nurse jobs to be precise) and this is quite something, I can tell you!
Now, this situation probably shouldn’t have happened. There is a girl in my office who usually does all the corporate design stuff, and it just so happened that when the job came in she was off sick. So it was passed to me, and I was actually quite glad that happened.
You see, designing for corporate companies – and less corporate but still quite formal ones – doesn’t have to mean spending days staring at boring fonts and the like. You can spice things up and still create a great image which is both fun to do and possesses all the formal qualities which these things always do.

Be daring: now, this is easier said than done – being daring takes guts and not everyone appreciates it! But still, you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, right?
Don’t be afraid to use bold colours: for some strange reason, a lot of more formal companies get stuck using greys and boring black and white logos. Bright colours can be eye-catching so don’t forget it!
Always be sure to deal with just the ONE person at the company. That way you won’t have tons of other opinions flying about, which means that you should have more chance of pushing a more dynamic idea through without too many obstacles.
Take influence from things which don’t usually get used in corporate design, why not? There are tons of ideas out there on the street waiting to be used: things like graffiti, Banksy-style stencils and billboard posters all provide ideas which may not be run-of-the-mill, but could well look good when scaled down to suit a business model.
Photography is good, and so is fashion: these are both things which must deliver a strong message, while at the same time being funky and cool to all kinds of groups of people.
