Wireless charger to be released by Fujitsu

I love my tech, but I hate the hundreds and thousands of wires that come with it. There’s a wire to charge my iPod, one to charge my smart phone, another to charge my laptop, and my desk is now covered in black wires, leads and plugs.

Fujitsu seems to have solved this problem by introducing a wireless charger. According to the article on cnet, Fujitsu have managed to create wireless charging, and plans to implement it into their technology from 2012. Basically if you wanted to charge your phone or any electrical device, you simply place it onto a charging station which may rest on a desk, with no wired connection, saving the trauma of plugging in wires to recharge devices.

The technology works using magnetic resonance, which was discovered less than five years ago. Fujitsu said “What Fujitsu Laboratories has done is to develop technology that dramatically shortens the time required to design transmitters and receivers for magnetic resonance charging systems and, in addition, enables accurate tuning of resonant conditions in the design phase, even for compact transmitters and receivers that are prone to influences from nearby metallic and magnetic objects,”

A wireless charger could be what we tech lovers need. No more faffing around with cables. Better still, it also serves the environment as companies do not need to hand out chargers like paper hand towels with their devices, reducing production and waste, as less chargers are disposed of.

The wireless charging system was created with the bluetooth keyboard and the wireless networking in mind, both have been known for their wireless capability, and having a wireless charger reduces more wires, more waste and more frustration!
